UCSC was started as a thought on how to engage people into their community. With 19 years of service in the mental health field, I have had the opportunity to explore various career opportunities. Working with individuals both young and of age with neurological disorders and other challenges. My time as a Job Developer and Job Coach inspired me to become more involved with the social aspect and advocacy for those with individualized needs. After the events due to Covid I began to see a need, the need to not only use my voice for advocation but to create a group that brings everyone together to have a good time, explore our communities and give back when we can, what’s life without joy? Unity in our communities is important, and I understand the importance of socialization.

Being social can be challenging for all of us, in a time when daily stressors, anxiety, and forming new relationships can feel like a task. Why not establish a network of friendships within communities to foster social connections and open doors to new opportunities and experiences?
